Privacy
MatchSpotter is built to know as little about you as possible. This page explains what little there is, in plain language.
Your location
If you allow location access, your position is used only inside your browser to sort matches by distance and center the map. It is never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.
Analytics
MatchSpotter loads Google Analytics 4, which collects anonymized usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) so we can see which leagues and cities people actually use and improve the product. This involves cookies set by Google. We never collect your name, your account, or your exact location, and we don't sell anything to anyone. If you'd rather not be counted, any browser-level tracking blocker or "do not track" extension will stop it.
Local storage
Your language choice is stored in your browser's local storage. It never leaves your device.
Server logs
Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses transiently to serve the site, protect it from abuse, and rate-limit requests. We keep no server-side log of who you are or what you searched.
No accounts, no tracking pixels, no ads
There is nothing to sign up for and nothing sold to anyone.
Data sources
Maps are provided by Apple (MapKit JS); Apple may process your IP address to serve map tiles — see Apple's privacy policy.
Some stadium locations come from OpenStreetMap contributors, and from Wikidata.
