Privacy

MatchSpotter is built to know as little about you as possible. This page explains what little there is, in plain language.

Your location

If you allow location access, your position is used only inside your browser to sort matches by distance and center the map. It is never sent to our servers or stored anywhere.

Analytics (only with your consent)

We ask before loading Google Analytics. If you accept, Google Analytics 4 collects anonymized usage statistics (pages viewed, approximate region, device type) to help us improve the product; this involves cookies set by Google. If you decline — or never answer — no analytics script is loaded and no analytics cookies are set. You can change your mind by clearing this site's data in your browser.

Local storage

Your language choice and your consent answer are stored in your browser's local storage. They never leave your device.

Server logs

Our hosting provider (Cloudflare) processes IP addresses transiently to serve the site, protect it from abuse, and rate-limit requests. We keep no server-side log of who you are or what you searched.

No accounts, no tracking pixels, no ads

There is nothing to sign up for and nothing sold to anyone.

Data sources

Fixture data comes from football-data.org. Maps are provided by Apple (MapKit JS); Apple may process your IP address to serve map tiles — see Apple's privacy policy.
