Delete your data

MatchSpotter has no accounts, so there is no profile to close and nothing of yours for us to look up by name. This page says exactly what exists, what you can clear yourself, and how to ask us to delete the rest.

What is stored, and where

• On your device: your search history in the app, the filters you last used, and cached fixtures and pictures. Nothing here reaches us.
• Analytics and crash reports (Firebase): which screens and filters were used, which club, stadium or competition was picked, and crash and performance diagnostics. These are keyed to a random identifier created by the app on your device, never to your name, e-mail or account. Google deletes them automatically after at most 14 months.
• Server request logs (Cloudflare): the address requested and your IP, kept for up to 7 days to find and fix errors, then deleted automatically.

We never receive your precise location, and place searches are not saved. The website sets no advertising cookies and the apps use no advertising identifier.

Delete it yourself, in a few seconds

• Everything on the device, and the analytics identifier with it: uninstall the app. On Android you can also clear it in place — Settings › Apps › MatchSpotter › Storage › Clear storage. The app then starts again with a new random identifier and the old one is orphaned.
• The search history only: clear it in the app's search box.
• On the website: clear the site's data for matchspotter.com in your browser.

Ask us to delete it

E-mail hello@matchspotter.com with the subject Delete my data. Because nothing is tied to an identity, tell us roughly when you used the app and on which platform, and we delete what can be matched — the analytics records for that installation, and any log entries still inside the 7-day window. We answer within 30 days, as the GDPR requires, and we ask for nothing beyond what is needed to find the records.

If an installation's identifier has already been reset or the app uninstalled, the remaining records can no longer be connected to anyone, and they expire on the schedules above.
